Style Week set to sizzle
NOW in its 11th year, Style Week Jamaica will kick off its three days of activity at the Top of the World Jamaica, Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston for the White Night, White Style show, this evening.
The event is the brainchild of Saint International CEO Deiwght Peters.
“Style Week will be three nights of glitz and glamour like no other,” Peters told Splash yesterday.
White Night, White Style is expected to host 30 local designers showing off their wares at the invitation-only event. On Saturday, Style Week heads to the iconic National Gallery, downtown Kingston for The International Mecca of Style Fashion Night.
“This year, we are introducing these two new venues on the premise of showcasing unique cultural and social spaces for destination Kingston,” said Peters.
Those lucky enough to get one of the limited numbers of tickets for the Saturday show will not only be treated to fashion from designers from as far as Paris, but several of Saint International’s modelling stars, Kai Newman and Tami Williams fresh off the pages of US Vogue. They’ll be joined by male supermodel Rob Evans.
“The excitement is palpable as everyone wants to revel in the unique and edgy experience at Styleweek,” he added.
Sunday evening will be the traditional mega-finale for Styleweek, Fashionblock, which will see Knutsford Boulevard in New Kingston transformed into a runway. Once again, the best local and overseas designers will join together with the stable of Saint models to end Style Week. Additional entertainment is to be provided by Tuff Gong recording artiste Bazil and the 2015 Magnum King Devin Di Dakta.
