Francheno, a True Born Hustler
THE determination of people in his Montego Bay community inspired True Born Hustler, singer Francheno’s latest song, which is released by Chenoget Records.
“From I was a little youth, I see a lot of people in my community and other places working hard and hustling to feed their families, some of them had a nine-to-five,” Francheno told this column. “Those who didn’t, had to hustle in the streets. It’s the same thing today, I see people selling bag juice, banana chips, and shoe polish on the corner, people selling in the markets, people driving taxi cabs and mini buses. Those are the people who inspired me to write this song,” he added.
Francheno was born Frantz Morris in Montego Bay, but also lived in Trelawny and Spanish Town. All Night Long, Open Your Eyes and Life Set a Way are some of his previous releases.
“I’m always working in the studio; making music is one of my top priorities. I’m currently working on an EP and an album. I’m also working on some new singles, some of these songs will be released before the end of the summer,” he said.
