Sasco releases No Gangsta

Sasco releases No Gangsta

DANCEHALL deejay Agent Sasco (aka Assassin) has dropped his latest single No Gangsta.

Produced by duo Kimani Smith and Roel Powell on Majah Label Music Group label, the recently released single drew on an American cult classic for its inspiration.

“The rhythm has an old dancehall gangster vibe. When I heard it, it brought back memories of the popular movie The Godfather,” he said.

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, The Godfather is a 1972 flick which follows a fictional crime family during the 1940s to mid-50s in the United States. Based on the Mario Puzo’s book of the same name, the movie stars Marlon Brandon and Al Pacino, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest. The Godfather spawned two sequels.

Agent Sasco (given name Jeffery Campbell) said not being a gangster doesn’t mean you’re a wimp.

“When we say ‘I’m no gangsta’ doesn’t mean I will be a pushover. We respect the law and we are protective of our family, territory, and will defend what is ours,” he said.

Sasco had high praises for the ‘Majah’ duo.

“Working with them is great so far. I have experienced for myself their positive and efficient attitude towards music production. Vibes and energy are crucial elements for making excellent music, and I believe that Majah Label possesses the perfect balance of these,” he said.
