Slash Dash win Guinness Street Football Challenge
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Slash Dash were crowned champions of the Guinness Street Football Challenge after defeating Pals All-star 1-0 in the national final here at Anthony Spaulding Complex last night.
Ricardo Vassell got the all-important goal which handed the St Catherine-based team the J$300,000 grand prize and the championship trophy. Pals All-star pocketed the runner-up prize of J$150,000, while Black Star out of Portland were awarded J$50,000 as third-place finishers.
Slash Dash will next represent Jamaica in the regional finals at the Kingston Waterfront on June 27 and 28.
