Feanny, Griffiths honoured by Cal’s
On the day of the 95th running of the Jamaica Derby (Saturday June 13), sponsors Cal’s Manufacturing Limited honoured the Derby achievements of trainer Philip Feanny OD and jockey Winston Griffiths OD.
Both Feanny and Griffiths were presented with plaques and a pictorial story board of their many successes in the Derby. Citations were also read for both gentlemen by track announcer Brian Rickman.
Feanny has trained 10 Derby winners and Griffiths has ridden 11 Derby winners. The Feanny/Griffiths combination is responsible for nine Derby wins.
The Complete Racing Guide also honours Feanny and Griffiths with a pictorial of the ceremony.
