Scotia ‘A’, General Accident score easy wins in Business House league
DEFENDING champions Scotia Bank ‘A’ and former champions General Accident won their matches comfortably as the 2015 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Open League competition continued at the St Andrew High School For Girls on Saturday, June 20.
Scotiabank, triple winners in the Opening Rally, Open League and the Senior “A” League last year, have won three matches from three starts. The ladies from Scotiabank whipped Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) 48-9; then beat Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) 31-11, before gaining a walk over Urban Development Corporation (UDC) in their opening match.
General Accident, who have been Scotia “A” archrivals and are back in the competition after a one-year absence last year, have won their two matches to date.
They crushed Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) 50-2, and humbled Seprod Limited 51-5. Scotia “B” started off with a convincing winning note by crushing Financial Services Commission (FSC) 51-1, while National Housing Trust (NHT) “A” defeated Continental Baking Company (CBC) who are returning to the competition, 44-2.
Results of matches played on Tuesday (23/6/2015) – Grace Kennedy outscored Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Group 28-17; Radio Jamaica (RJR), after a 20-year absence, chalked up their first win beating Continental Baking Company 24-5.
LIME Jamaica beat CariMed 23-9; Jamaica Public Service (JPS) defeated Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) 19- 3; Seprod Limited won their first game with a 20-12 scoreline over South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA); and Victoria Mutual Building Society Group (VMBS) got past HEART Trust/NTA 12-10.
