On The House
Last Saturday and Sunday marked Devon House’s first independent month-end special. Marketing and events assistant, Andre Silburn gave teenAGE a tour of all that was being offered. Devon House provided a variety of packages to wow their customers. They had an array of rides including; land train, carousel, helicopter, bounce-a-bouts and of course a classic, the mechanical bull.
Patrons could get child rides with a scoop of their famous ice cream, or a patty. But of course that’s not all Devon House brought to the table. They had other amazing deals that family and friends enjoyed. The place where the rides were kept, was in their very own Kids’ Zone. It is always open to the children for $250. This fee includes an hour of playtime with a scoop of ice cream.
Silburn saw to it that we were given a tour of the beautiful Devon House Mansion. Along the way, we learned of the charming history that accompanied the house. So not only did we get an enticing tour, but also a history lesson that was far from boring.
Later in the day, we rejoined Silburn for his thoughts on the day. He expressed, “Today has been great. The feedback and response has been tremendous. Persons have been asking for this. Saying that they want it every weekend, but the truth is we would probably have to look at it for every month-end. The kids are excited as they get the rides, the ice cream and that sense of freedom. It allows them to express themselves as children. The parents as well. It brings bonding.”
We sincerely hope that we can look forward to this again for the next month’s end. For those who missed it this time around, no need to fear. Devon House is going nowhere.
