GOOD PROSPECT PRODUCES TWO WINNERS ON ST LEGER DAY
Past winner of the Derby and the St Leger Good Prospect had two offspring winning on the 11-race St Leger programme last Saturday. Classy Prospect (Saint Appeal – Good Prospect) was a half-length winner in the third race over 1,500 metres, while Brave Prospect (Seeking The Glory – Good Prospect) was an easy three-and-a-half length winner in the seventh race, named in honour of Good Prospect, winner of the 1999 St Leger, over 1,200 metres. Brave Prospect was probably the rake of the day, running in a race named after his mother and drawn post position seven in the seventh race.

CHANGE OF EQUIPMENT
The Cashbert Khwalsingh-trained Sprouting Wings continued the trend of trainers making a change in equipment that has led to success.
After the bay filly’s dismal run on last when finishing in sixth position by over 13 lengths, Sprouting Wings (Mark Griffiths) returned on Saturday with the blinkers on and ran out an easy two-and-a-half length winner at the maiden level going 1,100 metres. The winning time was 1:12:0 minutes.
