George Dawkins Memorial Charity Golf Tournament tees off Sunday

ROSE HALL, St James — THE Cinnamon Hill Golf and Country Club in Rose Hall will be the venue for Sunday’s staging of the second Annual George Dawkins Memorial Charity Golf Tournament.

Hosted by Lodge Elgin, the tournament, which is being staged in honour of George Dawkins, one of its former members, is being held to raise funds for the Lodge charities.

This year’s tournament format is a two-man scramble with Handicap categories and special prizes for Longest Drive and Nearest Pin, the organisers say.

Registration begins at 8:00 am, while tee off is set for an hour later.

More than 40 golfers are expected to participate in the tournament, which is sponsored by Jamaica Tours Limited, Half Moon Resort, Sagicor, BMW, Secrets, Tryall Club, Billy Craig Insurance, LIME, Rainforest Seafood, Biggs BBQ, Taj Mahal Jewellers, Noel Whyte & Associates, Progressive Foods, Indies Pharma, and Boomerang Tyre Sales.
