Classics for Portland
THE Jamaica Classic Car Club (JCCC) will make its annual trek to the Errol Flynn Marina, Port Antonio, Portland, this Sunday, as part of its monthly series of islandwide linkups.
“As usual, we will have the cars from our various members on display at the location,” Shane Angus, JCCC president, told Auto.
While the event is geared towards the JCCC members and owners of classics, all are invited to join in the trek from Manor Park, St Andrew, through Junction, St Mary, to the venue.
“We will leave Manor Park at 9:30 am,” said Angus.
The Portland trip has become one of the favourites on the calendar for club members due to the scenic drive that takes them along one of the most untouched areas of the island. The marina itself retains its old-world charm, but is modern enough to be enjoyed.
The convoy of cars drew plenty of attention as they drove through the countryside in November of 2014 and fitted in well with the ambience of the Errol Flynn Marina to garner a return invitation.
