Ice Cream

“I am an ice cream enthusiast. I will try most flavours, but my favourites have to be Butter Almond, Rocky Road, Cookies N Cream, Coconut, Coffee and Pistachio.” –DiAndra Brown.

When #GivesMeLife mentioned ice cream this week, most of the responses were like DiAndra’s — a long list of flavours that got our teenAGErs in the mood for a trek to Devon House (or wherever there is good ice cream) just by talking about the creamy, delicious dessert.

DiAndra’s comment continues: “There is nothing like enjoying some ice cream on a hot day. You can just relax and escape into sweet nirvana.” DiAndra is right! And the entire teenAGE team agrees:Gabrielle McDowell: Coconut ice cream #givesmelife because it is very yummy and not too sweet. Perfect for me on a hot day!Moya Hinds: Cherry Bordeaux ice cream #givemelife. With every spoonful, it just melts in my mouth, bringing me to a temporary state of euphoria; until it’s finished.Jodiann Bell: Cookies n Cream ice cream #givesmelife because you get to eat twice the amount of junk food with only the guilt of one.Candiece Knight: Coffee ice cream #givesmelife because it always leaves me wanting more. It has such a delicate mature flavour, but it’s ice cream so its youthful nonetheless. After it has gone down, my tongue is just numb with pleasure, and that just leaves me craving more.Louis Davis: Candy Crush ice cream #givemelife because it’s every kind of treat in one form of indulgence. You can’t get better than candy and ice cream in one. Yes, please!Alexei Dacosta: Cookies n Cream ice cream #givesmelife. I’m a cookies AND chocolate lover. Nothing beats getting small bites of chocolate in ice cream!Novaro Thompson: Vanilla ice cream #givesmelife. It is simply delicious. There is beauty in simplicity. Vanilla is the most common for good reason. It’s the most delicious and can go with any other flavour, or by itself.EDITOR’S PICK:Monique Edwards Davis (MED): For Devon House, it has to be Butter Almond. It #givemelife because I love almonds and the butter ice cream is light, creamy and not too sweet. Karamel Sutra from Ben & Jerry’s has chocolate and caramel ice cream with fudge chips and a soft caramel core…Mmmmmmmmm #givesmelife!READER’S PICK:Grace Allison: Vanilla ice cream and Cheesecake ice cream #givesmelife. Vanilla is simple and delicious. Cheesecake… Come on, cheesecake in ice cream! Do I really need to explain how CHEESECAKE ice cream #givesmelife? It’s cheesecake!
