Modern bathroom for Sunberry All-Age
SPALDING, Clarendon — The Sunberry All-Age School in north-western Clarendon is to receive modern sanitary facilities, according to the social infrastructure development entity Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF).
An official contract signing, ground breaking and information session for the new bathroom facilities took place last month at the school.
JSIF has provided $5 million for the project, which is contracted to Stone Plus Limited.
In addition to water-closet units to serve girls and boys, the new toilet facility will include a boys’ urinal and an area for hand-washing.
Two water tanks and a pump will be provided as part of the project. Ramps and rails will also be in place for the disabled.
Construction is expected to be completed in time for the start of the new school year.
