Grandmother shot in eye with spear gun, dies
PORTLAND, Jamaica – A dispute between two men in Portland yesterday has resulted in the death of a woman.
She has been identified as Angella Jackson who is said to be in her mid 50s.
According to the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), around 8:30 am Jackson’s grandson and another man were allegedly in an argument when she intervened on his behalf. This was when she was shot in the eye with a spear gun used for fishing.
She was taken to hospital where she died some hours later.
