Man shot dead, another injured as gunmen strike in Cross Roads Market

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police are investigating the murder of 22-year-old Achiem Rose, otherwise called ‘Colour’, of a Zine Avenue, Kingston 11 address and the injuring of another man in the Cross Roads Market in Kingston on Wednesday, August 12.

Reports are that about 7:30 pm, Rose and two other men were standing in the market when they were approached and shot at by one of two men travelling on a motorcycle. The gunmen fled the scene.

Rose and another man sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to hospital. He died but the other man was admitted in stable condition.

No motive has been established for the killing.
