Saint goes marching in Clarendon
THE second staging of Saint International’s Clarendon Fashion Escape is set for the historic Halse Hall Great House, three minutes east of the Mineral Heights Housing Scheme, on August 23.
The event, the brainchild of Saint CEO Deiwght Peters, is sponsored by Campari.
“This will be like nothing seen before in this part of the country. I will be bringing my top models who have conquered the runways of Paris, Milan and London and New York working for the world”s most prestigious designers,” said Peters, who hails from the parish.
The event, which was first held in 2011, is expected to feature Jamaica’s top international male and female models managed by Saint International. Headliners Tami Williams (French Elle cover-girl) and Kai Newman (Kenneth Cole and Tommy Hilfiger campaign model), will join a galaxy of the country’s model stars including Clarendonian Kimberlyn Martin, who has walked in Paris and New York for Issye Miyake and other leading designers.
Male model duo Andre Doyley (Calvin Klein world exclusive) and Brandon Bailey (Prada exclusive) who rocked the runways at Milan Men’s Fashion Week will also be on the runway. A cadre of Jamaica’s best designers will also be descending on the ground of the old plantation to deliver the glam. A few pieces of the Avant Garde entrants of the past will be on show.
Dancehall deejay Vershon and vocal powerhouse Berri are scheduled to provide the musical delights.
