Bicycle man crashes into wall, dies

MANCHESTER, Jamaica – A cyclist died on Saturday as a result of injuries he received when his bicycle crashed into a wall on the Spice Grove main road in Manchester.

He has been identified as Garth Samuels of Wesley Road, Mandeville in the parish.

Police from the Mandeville Traffic Department report that about 3:00 pm, Samuels was riding his bicycle along the main road towards Spur Tree, when on reaching a section of the roadway, he allegedly lost control of the bicycle and crashed into a wall.

He received multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations are continuing, the police say.
