PNP rescue job not done yet, says Hylton
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Anthony Hylton, minister of industry, investment and commerce, told members of his West St Andrew constituency to pay keen attention to the fast-approaching general election.
“This election won’t be no rah rah election. It won’t be no rae rae or rah rah election. It’s going to be a thinking man and woman’s election,” Hylton stated.
He went on to say that voters are going to have to make it clear who they want to represent them “because there is a lot of noise and a lot of foolishness going around.
“The little green people are running around spreading propaganda and making a lot of noise and telling you that you have every option, every other option than the administration has pursued,” he continued.
The member of Parliament stated that the People’s National Party rescued the people of Jamaica from the Jamaica Labour Party’s administration, and that the rescue job is not yet complete.
Hylton quoted the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank as saying that the Jamaican economy under the JLP administration could not sustain the growth and development of the country.
He went on to highlight that the PNP has created jobs which are not necessarily jobs suited for PhD’s, lawyers or doctors, but rather jobs that are largely in the area of skills, critical thinking and knowledge.
