A Matter of Leadership
CULLED from the public and private sectors and non-government organisations, nine Jamaicans have been shortlisted as participants in the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue (CCELD), to be held in Ottawa and selected territories across the region from September 20 to October 4.
Leading a farewell cocktail reception hosted at the Canadian High Commission on Tuesday evening, EXIM Bank Managing Director Lisa Bell, chair of the local planning committee for the 2015 CCELD conference, played mother hen to the participants, enlightening them with anecdotes, wardrobe packing tips, as well as the invaluable leadership lessons she acquired as a participant herself, in the 2011 CCELD conference.
Set to make the journey next weekend for the leadership-affirming conference are Palma Jamaica Manager Adrian Bayley-Hay; Massy Technologies Infrastructure Professional Services Department Team Leader Shane Brown; Flow Company Secretary and Head of Legal and Regulatory Rochelle Cameron; Scotiabank Regional Director, Retail Distribution Maya Johnston; JAMPRO Vice-President, Trade and Business Development Delaine Morgan; EXIM Bank Human Resource and Administration Manager Stephanie Murdock; UWI, Mona Senior Policy Research Officer Jermaine Nairne; Jamaica Civil Service Association General Secretary Tiffonie Powell; and JDF Coast Guard Commanding Officer Antonette Wemyss-Gorman.
Thursday Social sits in on the ‘bon voyage’ event.
