Seven horses claimed on Sunday
Seven claims were made on the first ever 11-race Sunday programme at Caymanas Park.
Runaway winner in the first race, Italiano, was claimed from Donovan Plummer by Winston Morris for Jelf Gray for $450,000.
In the fifth race, five-year-old bay horse Prince O’Shaun was claimed by Colin Blair for Paul Swaby from Wilfred Chin for $250,000; Speedy Process was taken by Wilfred Chin for Diamond from Donovan Plummer for $210,000, and Miss Dorothy was claimed by Tensang Chung for Delcar Stables for $250,000.
Ray Phillips lost his bay mare Winesha for $180,000 to Borris McIntosh acting as both trainer and owner; Winchester McIntosh took Eternal Joy from Lawrence Freemantle for TAPE for $180,000, and the Delroy Spencer-trained seven-year-old chestnut mare Never Give Up was claimed by Michael Beecham for Phillip Edwards also for $180,000 from the 11th race.
