TIVOLI ENQUIRY: JNN facilitates today’s live television broadcast
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Today’s sitting of the Tivoli Enquiry is now being broadcasted live with help from the Jamaica News Network (JNN).
JNN stepped in today to provide feed for the broadcast after the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) withdrew in order to attend the funeral service of a colleague.
Commission Chairman Sir David Simmons thanked the news outlet for stepping in to ensure the continued televising of the sitting that has captivated many Jamaicans.
The enquiry, being held at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston, is looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of 74 Jamaicans during the May 2010 operation to apprehend then Tivoli don Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.
