Does One Direction have the highest grossing tour by a vocal group?
Directioners, One Direction may have made history with their On The Road Again Tour! It is believed that One Direction’s On The Road Again Tour may just be the highest grossing tour of all time by a vocal group. With average ticket prices going for about $223 USD on the secondary market, and tour dates that’ve spanned from February 2015 up until the end of October (with many large venues being sold out), it’s no wonder the tour has done well.
In other good news for the boy band their newest single Perfect from their upcoming fifth album Made In The AM darted from eight to the number one slot on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks. This gave the boys a record-extending sixth number one on the chart that began May last year.
And their song Home, available on their Perfect LP has gone to number one on iTunes USA with nearly no promotion save for singular tweets by each of the boys themselves.
Currently Infinity is at number 68 and Drag Me Down at number 8, with remixes featured on the LP occupying varying spots in between.
