Jamaica’s Shane Hudson (right) finishing fifth in 23.08 seconds in the men’s T47 200m heats at the IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar, yesterday. Andonis Aresti (left) of Cyprus finished in third place in 22.85 seconds behind Brazil’s Yohansson Nascimento (centre) in 22.27 seconds. Hudson failed to advanced to the final, while Jamaica’s David Bascoe did not face the starter because of a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Jamaica’s Tanto Campbell finished 14th of 19 competitors with a throw of 29.30 metres in the men’s javelin throw F57 final. The event was won by Mohammad Khalvandi of Iran with a throw of 43.76 metres, with second place going to Mohamad Mohamad of Syria with 41.85 metres, and Brazil’s Claudiney Batista Dos Santos third with 41.70 metres.
