Woman submits forged UTech letter with visa application
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A woman who attempted to secure a United States visa using a forged University of Technology (UTech) letter was fined $90,000 when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court last Friday.
The accused, Nastassia Burke, pleaded guilty to the charges of forgery and uttering forged documents.
Reports are that on October 13, Burke, with intent to defraud the United States Embassy, purported that she was a UTech student and presented a letter allegedly from the university.

“Which part?” Pusey asked.
Burke was subsequently fined $50,000 or six months for uttering forged documents and $40,000 or six months for forgery.
