ST ANN, Jamaica — Maxine Salmon from Beaches Turks and Caicos, Kid’s Camp was on Thursday named the ultimate team member of the year at the Sandals Ultimate Award in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Salmon was selected from 27 nominees from across the Sandals/ATL Group, who were selected to represent the different companies within the group.

In her capacity at the Kid’s Camp, she ensures that all children in her care at Camp Sesame have an amazing experience. 

Having been chosen as the ultimate team member, Salmon is the embodiment of the excellence the group encourages.

The winner was judged based on ambassadorial qualities , attendance, community and environmental stewardship, previous recognitions and awards, team spirit, and training.

Salmon walked away with several prizes including US$2,500, an overseas trip with transportation via private jet, the ultimate team member of the year trophy, and a framed citation.

In his message, Sandals/ATL Group CEO Adam Stewart said the Sandals Ultimate Award ceremony celebrates the best of the best in the group.

“Tonight is a tribute to the wonderful team members that ensure that the Sandals/ATL Group is the success that it is,” Stewart said. “The amazing things we achieved in 2014 were not achieved by luck or coincidence; they were achieved through the determination, dedication, skills, and talents of an incomparable team of stars.”

And for the 13,500 Sandals/ATL employees who were not able to sit among the nominees at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort during the ceremony, they were kept in the loop as the event was streamed live.
