Weekly-Round-Up: Parents angry over fondling… Turmoil grows in PNP…Reggae Girlz booted
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Parents accused the principal of a St Catherine-based basic school of not doing enough after cases of student-fondling came to light. Initially, the principal said she was unaware of the incidents. The latest case involves two four-year-old boys who stripped and attempted to fondle a female peer.
Meanwhile, PNP vice-president Angela Brown Burke and State Minister in the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment Damion Crawford are embroiled in an ongoing spat.
The two recently traded blows on social media over what sources say stems from Brown Burke’s objection to Crawford becoming the PNP’s standard-bearer in Trelawny North.
In sport, after facing a crushing 7-0 defeat from Canada the Reggae Girls whipped Trinidad and Tobago 6-1 on Tuesday. Despite efforts to secure a semi-final spot, the Reggae Girlz were however booted from the competition with four points.
