New Years messages from your favourite artistes

With less than one week left in 2015 we know you are looking forward to the new year, and with every new year comes resolutions. Here are a few kind words from some of your favourite local celebrities to help you get the new year started on the right note, and to keep it that on that track.– Tarrus Riley– Chronixx– Cherine Anderson– Kabaka Pyramid

“Take your time. And a lot of the things that don’t seem to be going anywhere, a lot of the things weh you a run down now, trust me, they will be here. So just take your time.”

“Take life in strides, you know what I mean, and make sure that whatever you doing now, it is all in contribution to what you want to do ultimately. Don’t wait until you reach 35 you think bout what you want to do at 35. If you want to be a singer now, you shouldn’t be wasting time. You should be writing music. Focus.”

“Work hard at being the best YOU that you can be. Being a carbon copy of someone else is not even worth it. People will talk but make them talk. We used to that, we back broad. Be you, just be you. The highest and best YOU. “

“It’s always good to have a solid mindset for the new year. Set your goals, and check in on your goals every quarter or every month. Because it’s one thing to set goals, and another thing to actually go through with them. More strength, and we know consciousness is on the rise, so 2016 is gonna be an even bigger and better year. “

“Bless up. Don’t spend all your money in the holiday. Take care of your friends and family, because in the end they are all you really have.”– Protoje

“All teenAGErs, thank you for supporting me, for supporting the music throughout this year, and just know that next year will be better.”– Beenie Man

“Not all that glitters is gold. Not because you’re young, dat nuh mean yuh nuffi have nuh sense. Despite what the system teach you that you must be young and reckless. Consciousness is not just fi old people. Lock on to that. Lock on to things weh higher than the age group. Learn certain things because you ago make certain mistake if yuh nuh adapt certain things. Learn how fi live according to certain guidelines weh set before you, weh yuh born come see and a go dead lef’.”– Patrick “Curly Lox” Gaynor – Twin of Twins– Paul “tu Lox” Gaynor – Twin of Twins– Kevin (Voicemail)

“Seek knowledge.”

“For the New Year set your goals, set your priorities, and work towards them vigorously. Because at the end of the day if you’re setting goals and not working towards them, then it wasn’t worth it.”

“Enjoy the holiday to the fullest, but do it with caution. Drink responsibly, don’t drink and drive [Assuming you are old enough to do either of those things]. For the new year, just go for your goals. Just sit and focus, and get this new year started the right way, and everything else will follow through. Believe in yourself, put God first, and do what you set out to do. Make it happen.”– Kiprich– Bugle– Darrio– Kelissa

“Hard work overcomes all difficulties. Believe in yourself so you can believe in other people. Put God first, and everything will be good. “

“I want to wish the world a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes. Just be safe, and just let love live.”

“First and foremost, guidance on all the movements and the travelling around, its a busy time. My general advice to the youth is just to stay true to yourself. “

“Peace love and prosperity for the new year. Live loving. Share. Do weh you a do and love weh you a do. Whatever it is just keep pressing and do your thing.”– Zagga-Queen Ifrica– Nesbeth– A-Game-Capleton-Mink Jo

“Happy holidays. It’s been a rough year for everybody, especially you, our teens in school. Despite all the peer pressure and socializing I just want to say: Stay focused. When the new school year comes make sure that your head is on your body. Your school work is first and foremost, and then everything else comes after.”

“My advice is not just for the new year. My advice is for life. As my song would say “My dream is to live my dream,” so I’m encouraging you to have a dream, and not only have it but to live it as well. Blessed love.”

“To all teenAGErs, and all young people, even old people too. Stay safe. Be true to yourself. Stay real and true. Love your family. Love yourself, and that love will cover everything.”

“Stay focused, be wise. Stay away from crime, stay away from drugs, stay away from immorality, be obedient to your parents and your guardians, always remember that your education is the ultimate thing. Respect the people who were there before you and the people who guide and protect you. Just be yourself, know who you are, and never let anyone tell you you cannot make it in life. Strive for the best. You know what your goals are, you just have to have direction. Nuh mek nobody detour you. Just keep the fire burning.”

“Focus on schools. If you’re doing exams, focus, study. Don’t make the little boys or girls get in your way. Just keep focused, and keep studying. Set your mind on a goal and everything will work out for you.”

“Keep it real and clean. Just stay truthful and stay away from the alcohol. Just keep it real. A whole heap a people ina the earth, and whole heap a things fi do, so if you a go do sumtn, just stay truthful. Simple as that, a nuh nut’n hard.”
