#WorstOf2015 – Vanessa Bling
Best: Lisa Hanna
The best dressed female of 2015 locally, is undeniably former Ms. World and current Minister of Youth and Culture Lisa Hanna. This beauty queen has taken her fashion skills and has beautifully incorporated them into her professional and political life. She has perfected the Midi Skirt making a year of fashion success on her part.
Hanna oozes class and style and is the undeniable queen of colour-blocking. She is the best at pairing two drastically bright colours like orange and purple and making them work. Whether it is a formal setting or a walk through her constituency, Hanna has the fashion game down pat; making her the number one choice for best dressed Jamaican female in 2015.
Hanna’s social media pages are a catalog of all her best looks (ALL of them) and is the perfect place for a young fashionista to seek advice. Finally, Lisa Hanna is also a gem in the fashion world because she supports the local fashion industry, with a majority of her spectacular pieces being made by her own local dressmaker and materials being locally bought.
Worst: Vanessa Bling
There’s no denying that Vanessa Bling is gorgeous, however, her choices in clothing are always poor. Before we address her obvious need to invest in a stylist or change her current one, let’s address her face.
For a ‘Miss Future Guaranteed’, who brags about being on ‘fleek’ she needs to do better with her brows. We just don’t feel like that shade of brown (your eyeliner) is working, Vanessa… and those obvious boxed brows HAVE GOT TO GO!
Now, her fans might attack, but Bling’s clothes seem like they could use an influx of fabric quality. “Check mi IG, mi nuh wear and repeat?”. Is that because you wash them one time and that’s it for them?
Admittedly, on the past couple outings that we have seen her, she has been improving. So we can only hope that with this new improvement she’ll realise how petite she is and start selecting clothes that compliment her. Basic rule when shopping: find clothes that suit your body type.
Sidetracking though, ‘big up’ Vanessa Bling’s nail technician, her nails are always on point. Also, ‘big up’ the fact that Vanessa left the idea of lace wig behind in 2015 – a decision that was greatly needed in her life.
