A dream to feed the homeless
Allman Town resident Sonya Wilson (second left), and one of her daughters (fourth left) hand out boxed lunches to a group of homeless people on King Street, downtown Kingston, on Thursday.
Wilson said that her decision to reach out to the homeless was inspired by a dream she had some months ago. She was accompanied on the mission by three of her children.
“At first, when I got the dream, I did not know how to interpret the information, but when I spoke to my co-worker she encouraged me to do just what the dream suggested,” Wilson told the Jamaica Observer.
“I do not have much, but I have decided to give back to those who are not as fortunate as I am.
This is my decision, moving forward,” said Wilson, explaining that she had to charter a taxi to transport the food from her home to the homeless people .
