2 charged in relation to former Spanish Town Mayor’s shooting
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The police have confirmed that two men have been charged in connection with the incident in which former Mayor of Spanish Town Raymoth Notice was shot and injured in late December.
Police have also hinted that more people could soon be charged in connection with the matter.
“Police can confirm that two men have been charged in connection to the case, but we cannot disclose more details on the matter as the matter is still being investigated,” head of the Area Five Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Derrick Knight, told OBSERVER ONLINE Tuesday.
The Corporate Communications Unit, the police’s information arm, reports that Notice was attacked and shot by gunmen at his Bog Walk, St Catherine, home on December 21.
Police said then that they were following several leads and that robbery was the motive for the attack.
