Ringing it in at GoldenEye

Ringing it in at GoldenEye

Queen Latifah, Grace Jones, Jimmy Fallon, and Mary-Kate Olson were just a few of the celebrities who upped the style ante for the Chris Blackwell-hosted New Year’s Eve shindig at the flippie-chic GoldenEye Hotel and Resort in St Mary.

The evening commenced with dinner beneath a blanket of stars, just shy of the shore. Then, as the clock ticked closer to midnight, event curator, award-winning music video director and choreographer Fatima Robinson, led the smooth transition into partymode, spinning a mix of classic and contemporary dancehall, reggae, hip-hop and neo-soul hits

— against a backdrop of videos featuring dancers repping eras ranging from burlesque to rocksteady.

With bonfires on the beach, dancers dressed in rhinestonestudded leotards atop platforms, Blackwell Rum— amongst other free-flowing spirits — on deck, and Chinese paper lanterns illuminating the night sky as the year 2016 was born, the excitement was positively palpable! SO fuels your FOMO with highlights from the fabulous affair!
