Audi tops luxury European brands for 2015
With the start of 2016, the Automobile Dealers Association (ADA) has released its 2015 Reported Sales Statement for all new cars sold in Jamaica for the year. The report shows that Audi was the top-selling European make with the most units sold, surpassing Mercedes-Benz and BMW by 40 per cent and 13 per cent more units, respectively.
Brian Walsh, head of business at Audi Jamaica, notes, “We knew we had to work hard last year but it’s easy when your team is so dedicated to a world-class brand with such fantastic vehicles. Overall, we were extremely happy as we were up 36.4 per cent in sales versus year-end in 2014, so this news is the icing on the cake for us. Our CEO Adam Stewart made a bold claim when we first took over the brand that Audi would be the number one premium brand within five years, to see that become a reality is hugely satisfying.”
The hugely popular Audi Q5 2.0T was the best seller followed by the Q3 2.0T. BMW who was the second-placed top European brand along with MINI are set to join the ATL Automotive family under ATL Autobahn, on February 15.
