Ifertari working on new EP
REGGAE singer Ifertari inked a new recording contract with Florida-based record label Luminous Records earlier this month.
She plans to release a 12-track EP through her new deal later this year.
“I am currently working hard in the studio with the new hot producer outta Jamaica, Stulla. He is making great ‘riddims’ and the world can expect an electric EP from Ifertari,” she said.
In the meantime, Ifertari is still promoting her debut albumLearning Process, which was released in April 2015.
“I have some upcoming gigs in June in Canada, UK, Japan as well as the USA. I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to connect with reggae fans in the US, they really like my brand of reggae,” she said.
Ifertari, whose given name is Sashanna Hunter, migrated to the USA from the Waltham Park area of Kingston at age 12. She returned to Jamaica three years ago to pursue music.
Her popular songs include Morning Evening and Black Skin.
