NCU president stepping down
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The Seventh-day Adventist Church-operated Northern Caribbean University (NCU) confirmed in a news release Friday that its current president, Dr Trevor Gardner, is demiting office.
Gardner, an NCU alumnus, became the 23rd president of the institution in 2012.
“After presenting his annual report to the Northern Caribbean University board, NCU president, Dr Trevor G Gardner, indicated his desire not to be considered for service in the 2016-17 academic year,” said the release.
The announcement was reportedly made at a board meeting this week.
Gardner will continue to lead the university until graduation in August.
His replacement for the 2016-2017 is being sought.
