Jordashe pushes One More Time
UP-AND-COMING cultural reggae singer Jordashe said he has been getting favourable responses from his single One More Time.
The singer told the Jamaica Observer that with months of promotion, the track has gained a foothold in several Caribbean islands.
“It’s about persons who are envious and jealous of others’ achievements. I’m telling them that if their eyes (get) red one more time, they may go blind,” he said.
One More Time was released last October and produced by Peterkey Productions.
Jordashe (whose full name is Jordashe Grant) was born in Annotto Bay, St Mary, but spent his earlier years in Enfield in the parish. After graduating from Buff Pay High School, he got certified in Food Preparation at Cape Clear Academy in St Mary. He later attended Midland Bible Institute in Clarendon where he graduated with a degree in psychology in 2012.
“Although I used to clash with my friends in high school, I had no intention of taking the art seriously, so I got enrolled in the tertitary world. However, I kept the link with my friends from high school, who were all aspiring musicians. Their company motivated me to also pursue the dream that I never expressed, ” he said.
Having worked with a number of local producers, it was not until he signed with Peterkey Production that he got a break with a collaboration called Nothing More to Say with Exile di Brave.
In addition to promoting One More Time, Jordashe is also promoting his EP called O Gash, a Jordashe.
