PCL Update: Scorpions dismissed for paltry 177 by Pride

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Scorpions were dismissed for a paltry 177 just before the scheduled tea interval on day one of the WICB Professional Cricket League match versus Barbados Pride at Sabina Park.

The Scorpions, who chose to bat first after winning the toss, were led by half-centuries from Andre McCarthy (52) and Shacaya Thomas (50). Pacer Justin Greaves took 5-41 for the Pride.

Starting teams:

Scorpions — John Campbell (captain), Shacaya Thomas, Kirk Edwards, Andre McCarthy, Devon Thomas, Brandon King, Chadwick Walton, Nikita Miller, Damion Jacobs, Nicholson Gordon, Jason Dawes.

Pride — Kraigg Brathwaite (captain), Shamarh Brooks, Jonathan Carter, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummings, Shane Dowrich, Justin Greaves, Omar Phillips, Kevin Stoute, Hayden Walsh, Jomel Warrican.
