Gibson/McCook Relay: JC top boys’ class one 4x100m after KC, Calabar falter
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica College ran away with the boys’ class one 4x100m relay final in an eventful race at the Gibson McCook Relays at the National Stadium.
The race started out evenly, but had its first mishap when Calabar’s second-leg runner fell.
As the race progressed and the athletes came into the final exchange, Kingston College seemed poised to strike but Dontre Williams pulled up at the 50-m mark.
Jamaica College won in 40.01 seconds followed by St Jago, who clocked in at 40.44 seconds, and Cornwall College finished third in 40.57 seconds.
