Denham Town defeat Wolmer’s 4-0 in girls football
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Denham Town High defeated Wolmer’s Girls 4-0 in their Zone E top-of-the-table clash in the 2016 Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) high school girls football competition at Wolmer’s Girls on Wednesday.
Denham Town’s goals were scored by Tiyana Wilson (2nd minute), Tatayan Pollock (26th minute), and Jodi-Ann Oliver (37th and 60th minutes).
By virtue of today’s result, Denham Town assumed pole position in the group on maximum 12 points from four games, while Wolmer’s settled in the third spot on nine points from four games.
Edith Dalton moved into second position on nine points after defeating hosts St Andrew Technical High School, who remained in fifth position on one point.
Bridgeport suffered their fourth straight defeat after going down 2-3 to hosts Spanish Town in the other group fixture.
Spanish Town occupies fourth place on four points, while Bridgeport is last of the six teams on zero point.
