Even split in Clarendon
May Pen, Clarendon — Clarendon parliamentary seats were split evenly between the two parties on February 25.
The veteran Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) giant Mike Henry took 69.9 per cent of the vote to easily take Clarendon Central.
Another veteran Pearnel Charles took 52.2 per cent of the vote in Clarendon North Central to hold off People’s National Party (PNP challenger Dr Desmond Brennan.
And in Clarendon South Eastern the JLP’s Ruddy Spencer also came home a winner with 52.5 per cent of the votes ahead of the PNP’s Patricia Sutherland.
The PNP’s Noel Arscott held on to Clarendon South Western, taking 56 per cent of votes. He defeated the JLP’s Kent Gammon.
In Clarendon North Western, Richard Azan of the PNP with 52.3 per cent of votes defeated the JLP’s Michael Stern.
The PNP’s Horace Dalley held off the JLP’s Caswell Pinnock in Clarendon Northern with 52.2 per cent of votes.
