Passenger dies in Hanover car crash, 2 others injured

HANOVER, Jamaica — Forty-one-year-old Jason Hudson of Sugar Mill Road in St James died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle crash on the Mosquito Cove main road in Hanover on Saturday.

Reports from the Lucea police are that about 6:00 am, Hudson was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla motor car travelling towards Lucea.

Upon reaching a section of the roadway, it is alleged that the driver lost control of the motor vehicle, which veered off the road and overturned.

Hudson was pronounced dead at hospital. The driver and another passenger were also injured, but are said to be in hospital in stable condition.

The police say investigations are ongoing.
