1. Karim Benzema could be returning to France. Benzema may just be on the French team for Euros this year as his ban preventing him from meeting his France teammate Mathieu Valbuena was lifted by the courts on Friday. When interrogated about the future of Benzema in December the president of the French Football Federation said that if the ban was lifted he could play.

2. Rafael Benitez has been confirmed as the new coach at Newcastle. Benitez, who had been out of a job since being sacked by Real Madrid, has been appointed the new coach of relegation-threatened Newcastle. However, Benitez has alluded to this job potentially being temporary. Following the interview after his appointment he alluded to a clause in his contract that states that if Newcastle is relegated he goes as well. He doesn’t seem too worried though because he says “I am here because I believe these players are good enough.” He also praised the atmosphere at St James’ park. 

3. No one knows what Neymar will be doing this summer…..not even Neymar. Luis Enrique, Barcelona’s coach has admitted that he doesn’t know if Neymar should play in the Olympics or at Copa America for Brazil. Enrique says that he isn’t too worried about it though, as he is only concerned about the next match Neymar has coming up. He mentioned that he will meet with Dunga, Brazil’s coach to work out exactly what they should do about not only Neymar but the other Brazilians on the Barcelona squad. Neymar has admitted that he he would like to play both tournaments however Barcelona isn’t obligated to let him off for the Olympics. 

4.Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he will have a new job this July. Who will he be coaching? He didn’t say but of course the Manchester United rumours have intensified. With Louis Van Gaal, sinking deeper and deeper into trouble with the clubs and their fans, don’t be surprised if Mourinho swoops in July to ease his burden.

5. Real Madrid is looking to sell Cristiano Ronaldo. Rumours are now circulating that Real Madrid wants to sell Cristiano Ronaldo this coming summer. According to reports, Robert Lewandowski and Alvaro Morata, who are being targeted by Real Madrid will decline the offer to transfer if Ronaldo is still there. For some reason they are afraid of a little competition.
