Desperate Reno FC welcome
Former champions FC Reno will be desperate for points this Sunday when they host Tivoli Gardens FC in a Red Stripe Premier League third round game at the Frome Sports Complex, starting at 3:30 pm.
FC Reno, who just missed relegation last year, appear set for yet another race to the finish to avoid the drop, and will be hoping for a more comfortable last few rounds.
The Westmoreland- based club have dropped to 10th place in the 12 team-league with 32 points, four points above the drop zone occupied by Waterhouse FC- 28 points, and Rivoli United- 27 points.
After twice giving up a lead against Portmore United last weekend to finish 2-2, FC Reno will be hunting a third victory this season over Tivoli Gardens.
Two of FC Reno’s seven wins came at the expense of Tivoli Gardens, 3-2 in the first round and 1-0 in the second round, and they hope another three points this Sunday would be the tonic the former champions need.
