Bachelor Chef Cookout a hit
UNDAUNTED by steady showers, fans of Bachelor Chef Cookout turned out in their numbers to the Beach Grill Edition in Portmore, St Catherine. The damp conditions eventually gave way to clear, blue skies as patrons indulged in tasty dishes and high-energy mixes churned out by the island’s hottest DJs.
“With this being our first staging in Portmore, there was quite a bit of pressure for us to deliver an epic event. By all accounts, we not only met our goals but we were able to exceed expectations,” said Chef Shea Stewart.”
Guests were in for a musical treat as selectors unleashed an eclectic playlist from old-school tracks to the latest chart toppers. Early out, Xynk Fence and DJ Nicco got the crowd going with a throwback selection, which included DMX’s What They Really Want and the Backstreet Boys’ mega hit, The Call.
Road Karma threw the females into a frenzy with their soca set, while DJs Narity and Sanjay tag teamed and wowed the audience with their mix of popular singles, including Work by Rihanna and Drake, Bicycle Ride by Vybz Kartel and Beenie Man’s Let’s Go.
On the picturesque, white-sand dance floor, partygoers let loose, revelling in the pulsating beats, singing lyrics out loud and dancing well into the night.
“We definitely have to thank everyone who came out and also express our sincere gratitude to all our sponsors. We’re already in planning mode for the next instalment, which promises to be even bigger and better than our previous outings,” Stewart added.
