Movies you should check out this April
Here’s a list of movies we think you should check out this month!
The Boss
Comedian Melissa McCarthy plays Michelle Darnell a crazy wealthy mogul who gets imprisoned for insider trading and gets her assets frozen. Suddenly rather un-wealthy and sorta homeless, she moves in with one of her employees (Kristen Bell) and decides to help a girl scouts group raise money and beat the other group to show she’s still got the magic touch.
This one looks fairly promising. Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell certain deliver in the movie’s trailer. The Boss will be released on April 8th.
Demolition
Yet another one of those dramatic films where the good guy tragically loses his wife and embarks on some soul-searching journey thereafter. It might turn out to be a really good film but plot-wise it’s nothing outstanding….the déjà vu vibes are strong.
Demolition gets its release on April 8 as well.
The Jungle Book
Bare necessities, the simple bare necessities….if that rings a bell you’ll most likely want to head to the theatres to see childhood classic The Jungle Book get a 3D big screen treatment. Bill Murray, Lupita Nyong’o, Idris Elba and Scarlett Johansson are just a few of the stars who voice characters in the film. Disclaimer: some scenes might be a little too intense for some persons, so if you fall into that category you might want to sit this one out.
For everyone else who loves the classic story and can’t wait to see how they remake it, expect the release mid to late April.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War
A dramatic, more fullsome link into the classic tale of Snow White. So we all know the Queen got jealous when she heard she wasn’t the fairest of them all but what we didn’t know was the Queen’s sister had a baby girl who was soon to be the fairest in the land. Naturally the Queen paid no heed when she was specifically told not to harm the baby and the loss of her beautiful baby turned the Queen’s sister’s heart cold. She retreated and raised an army of huntsmen to wage war against her sister’s kingdom and now it’s up to one huntsman turned rogue (Chris Hemsworth) to put an end to it. The only question is: will he succeed?
April 22 is the release date.
Mother’s Day
Jason Sudeikis, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jennifer Aniston star in Mother’s Day – a cute comedy centered on familial relationships and love. The movie gets its release on April 29th just ahead of the actual Mother’s Day holiday.
