Veronica Forbes-Blake

Veronica Forbes-Blake has been employed to the University of the West Indies, Mona since 1989. She was employed as Clerical Assistant and assigned to the Placement and Career Services office.

She was promoted to Administrative Assistant in 2004 and transferred to the Hugh Wynter Fertility Management Unit.

In 2007, she assumed duties as Acting Administrative Officer at the same Unit and was appointed to the post in 2010.

She attended the Trinity Primary and Marymount High Schools, in St. Mary. At Marymount, she served as Deputy Head Girl, Inter-Schools Christian Fellowship President and House Treasurer.

She holds a M.Sc. in Public Sector Management and B.Sc. in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies, Mona, She also pursued the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning from City and Guilds, London.

In High School she received the award for Christian Leadership Skills, while at the UWI, she has received Long Service Awards for 15 and 21 years. She has served as Sunday School Teacher, Librarian and Youth Co-ordinator on different occasions at Church.

She is author of the book “Don’t Give Up: God Will Come Through”. She enjoys writing and travelling.

She is married to Eglon Blake and the union has produced a daughter – Breanna.
