Tessanne headlines JAPEX reception
Singer Tessanne Chin will be the headline act for the welcome reception at the opening ceremony of the Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) trade show scheduled for today. The event concludes on Sunday.
Other performers include Children of the Drums, Hatfield Folk and Cultural Group and Dance Xpressionz.
“Taking place at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Montego Bay, the tourism capital of Jamaica, we are delighted to welcome these exciting acts for a night to celebrate what promises to be another successful JAPEX. Our partners for the evening, Melia Braco Village have come on board with a line-up that promises to provide a jam-packed night of entertainment for our guests,” said Nicola Madden-Greig, president of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA).
Under the theme ‘Many Moods of Jamaica’ more than 700 attendees are expected including, Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett, international tour operators, travel agents, international media, and other distinguished guests.

The event will give first-time visitors a taste of Jamaica, exposing them to different aspects of Jamaican culture.
