Coaster bus driver dies in St Mary crash
ST MARY, Jamaica – Sixty-year-old Crowley Murray of Long Road, St Mary, died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle collision on the Gray’s Inn main road in the parish on Sunday.
Reports from police in Annotto Bay are that about 11:01 am, Murray was driving a Coaster bus with passengers aboard towards Port Maria.
On reaching a section of the roadway, he allegedly tried to negotiate a corner, lost control of the vehicle and collided into a Kenworth Tipper motor truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The occupants of the bus were taken to hospital where Crowley was pronounced dead. The others were treated and released.
Police say investigations continue.
