BRT, a hit in California
To commemorate its fifth anniversary, popular BRT Weekend series headed to Hunting Beach in California, last weekend.
Held each November in the Florida Keys, it was the first time the event had ventured outside of the Sunshine State.
“BRT is the place to be. Great party series, lots of vibes and hot girls. What more can anyone ask for?” Guion Brown, a BRT representative, told Jamaica Observer.
Six parties were held over three days (April 29 – May 1). Patrons came out in large numbers to enjoy events including Less Than Zero, V Maui Wowi, Xtreme Wet ‘N’ Wild, Pure Glow, J’Ouvert Breakfast Party, and BRT All-White.
BRT (Beach Road Trip) attracted over 5,000 patrons who partied to music courtesy of a wide array of disc jocks and selectors, including Hot 97 FM’s Yung Chow.
A number of celebrities were in attendance at the all-inclusive events. They included rapper Safaree, reggae artiste Gyptian, rapper Trinidad James and VH1 Love and Hip Hop star Sincere.
Promoted by Jamaican-born Hans Peter Mullings, the next BRT Weekend series is set for November 4-6 in Florida.
