Odean Brown suspended for whereabouts violation
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaican cricketer Odean Brown was today suspended for 15 months by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Disciplinary panel.
Brown, 34, committed a whereabouts violation by missing three consecutive out-of-competition drug tests in an 18-month period.
Attorney-at-law Patrick Foster, who represented the player, said his suspension will commence from November 24, 2015 and will end on February 24, 2017.
Brown’s case was heard by the independent disciplinary panel, chaired by former Director of Public Prosecution Kent Pantry.
The other members of the panel were Professor Archibald McDonald and former Jamaica and West Indies cricketer Maurice Foster.
