Cruising Attitude in Cuba
Chanel mastermind Karl Lagerfeld caused quite the stir, last Tuesday, in Cuban capital Havana, where he invaded its core in chariots of Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Cadillacs brimming with celebrity friends such as Oscar winner Tilda Swinton and supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Providing sweeping views of the label’s massive 2017 resort collection, which co-starred Saint International model Tami Williams in two looks, the historic Paseo del Prado was repurposed as a runway in a groundbreaking exercise that signals the rising cachet of the destination comeback kid that Cuba has become. SO goes front row to witness fashion history at work.
