UPDATE: Children who perished in house fire identified
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The two children who perished in a fire that destroyed a house in the Cross Roads area of St Andrew, today have been identified.
They are 10-year-old Nyheema Barrett and five-year-old Shaheem Green.

Reports are that residents saw smoke coming from the house just before 4:00 am and alerted the police and fire department.
After cooling down operations, the burnt remains of the children were reportedly found among the rubble.
On Wednesday, grieving family members and friends rushed to the scene of fire to catch a glimpse of the children’s charred remains.
They had to be restrained by police officers and other people at the location.
